About

My name is Steve and that’s me in the picture above, sat on a friend’s porch somewhere in Michigan. Sadly, I’m only pretending to play the banjo as I lack any musical skills.

I have a very wide range of interests and that is reflected in my reading, both fiction and non-fiction. I love to read thrillers, crime novels and literary fiction and I also read a lot of books about my passions for social justice, the environment, nature, people and places. I am also a keen football and baseball fan with particular interest in books that combine sporting stories with social history.

The name of my blog, Live Many lives, aims to reflect my belief that reading opens up other perspectives and allows us to build empathy and understanding across social, geographic, cultural and historical boundaries. I read widely in order to broaden my own understanding and experience of different lives and lifestyles.

In amongst the book reviews you will also find various bits of writing along the themes of the interests I have highlighted above. These are spaces where I can be more personally expressive and explore my own thoughts in a little more depth than the book review format allows.

The menu at the top of the blog takes you to pages that list out all historical posts under that category, so that it is easy to find things. Alternatively, the sidebar offers menus for both recent posts and a full monthly archive.

Thanks for looking at my website and I hope you enjoy it. Please do give me feedback on any of my posts using the comments facility. You can also find me on Twitter  @livemanylives.

Review Policy

Hopefully the above has given you some idea of the types of books that I read, although I admit it is quite broad and eclectic. I am open to receiving review copies from publishers on these themes and also joining blog tours, interviewing authors and hosting guest content where I feel it is appropriate.

If you would like to contact me with regard to any of these things please use the contact form below. Please note that I am UK based.
